Jennifer Diamond-Wright
Executive Director

 Jennifer Diamond-Wright serves as the Executive Director for the Arts Council of White Lake.  Jennifer is a familiar face at the Nuveen after having served as the Nuveen Art Edcuation Director for 1.5 years.  In February of 2016, she began her tenure as the Executive Director of the ACWL.

After graduating from Montague High School, Jennifer attended Central Michigan University where she studied Recreation, Parks and Leisure Services Administration.  After completing an internship with the West  Michigan Whitecaps, she returned home to Montague. Prior to being employed by the ACWL Jennifer  worked for White Lake Area Community Education for 10 years. 

Jennifer and her her husband, Ryan and 4 daughters, Madison (13), Lauren (8), Myleigh (6), and Sydney  (4) live in Montague.  They enjoy camping, going to the beach, shopping and playing games together.

Sondra Cross
Director-ACWL Music

Sondra Cross is currently the director of Music & Performing Arts branch of the Arts Council of White Lake and Co-Director of the White Lake Chamber Music Festival. Having a dream and vision of great musical possibilities in the White Lake area, she created the White Lake Chamber Music Society and joined with the ACWL in 2007 to build the music branch. The Music & Performing Arts board helps to oversee many activities including The West Michigan Junior Strings Program, a lecture series, the White Lake Guitar Fest, and the White Lake Chamber Music Festival.

 Sondra received her Bachelor of Music from Western Michigan University in Music Performance and studied with Clark Brody of the Chicago Symphony and Harrison Orr, Eastman School of Music & Kalamazoo Symphony. She was a member of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra for 18 years, and performed with the Grand Rapids Symphony and Twin Lake Symphony, plus the Houston Symphony string quartet Fidelis. She has taught privately for many years and has consistently had students go on to be music majors and pursue music after high school. She currently performs with Solace – a flute/clarinet duo and Quintessence – a woodwind quintet. In addition, Sondra operates a private music studio, has been a substitute music teacher, instrumental sectional coach, and clarinet and saxophone instructor. She has 7 wonderful children, 5 grandchildren, and helps her husband pastor Living Word Church of  Muskegon.

Chelsea Kirksey
Director-Nuveen Art Education

Chelsea Kirksey serves as the newly appointed Director of Nuveen Art Education.  Chelsea has been active in ACWL programming for nearly two years as a gallery manager and teacher.

After graduating from Reeths-Puffer High School, Chelsea attended Michigan State University where she earned a BFA in Art Education and Specialization in American Indian Studies. Chelsea is passionate about bringing accessible and inclusive programming to the White Lake area. 

She currently lives in Muskegon with her rabbit Jazz and enjoys the up and coming downtown atmosphere. Chelsea likes
